Niagara-on-the-Lake hosted the Canadian Open Championships (now the Rogers Cup) 14 times from 1895 to 1914?


Lawn tennis was played on the courts of NOTL's Queen's Royal Hotel, here with some very well-dressed spectators enjoying the match.


In 1907, over 2,000 spectators watched Wimbledon Champion May Sutton win the Canadian Open at the Queen's Royal court.

Honorary Lifetime Members

IRENE WALL was honoured in 2008, in recognition of her 13-year stewardship of the Club, which included replacement of the omni-court surface in 2002. She maintained a regular series of events and communications each year.

ROSEMARY GOODWIN was honoured in 2011. During her tenure as President, she worked tirelessly to grow and improve the Club, introduced e-newsletters packed with interesting stories and photos, and established our Group play system.

RICHARD BERTI was honoured in 2014 for  his dedicated craftsmanship on major facilities improvements, including our pavilion storage extension and hitting wall. He and Monica are model Club Members in every way.
