Team Tryouts/Q&A Sessions: ICTA Inter-Club

NEW: Club Participation in the ICTA Niagara leagues.

TRYOUTS & INFORMATION SESSIONS:

• Memorial Park Courts and Pavilion
• Saturday April 22, 3-4 pm or
• Sunday April 23, 3-4 pm

WHY: Inter-club team competition is a wonderful experience to add to a player’s tennis world. Enjoy representing your home club as part of a team effort and visiting and hosting teams from other clubs.

THE PLAN: Form a team for the Mixed League, with a schedule of matches on Sunday late afternoon/early evening. The designated playing level for this league is 3.5/4.0. Teams consist of men and women (no age limitations), with four courts of play featuring men’s, ladies’ and mixed doubles.

FIRST STEP: These “tryouts” are intended as a gathering for all and any who are curious or interested in possibly giving this a try. Everyone who identifies at this playing level is welcome. Bring your questions and your racquet. Our lead teaching professional Shawna Macfarlane is managing the tryout events.

NEED-TO-KNOW:

• Inter-club team play involves a match each week over the course of the summer season.
• Rosters are normally double the size of the weekly lineup to accommodate vacation schedules.
• Be prepared to travel to other Niagara Region clubs and to share in hospitality for the home games.

ICTA Niagara is part of the well-established ICTA system.
